Gotta say, when I wrote the Manny epitaph scene that wraps up this week, I wasn't consciously trying to match the tearjerkery of the end of Empowered vol. 8—this was a different situation with different characters, and one that I personally found to be less emotionally wrenching than the whole Sistah Spooky and Mindf**k wrap-up.

However, a decent number of readers actually find this scene to be the series' very height of tearjerkery; the death of Manny, really, really affected 'em, probably much more than I would've anticipated. Golly!
