Panel 1: As mentioned earlier, this adventure has definitely NOT gone the way that Mightier Pen was anticipating.

Panel 3: From her wavy-outlined word balloons and the bruises and scratches all over her, you can tell that Emp hasn't just shrugged off entirely the effects of getting the crap kicked out of her by the now-vaporized Fleshmaster. Always liked this pose, BTW; in fact, I breezily reused this pose for a Marvel variant cover not long after this. (Er, the pose wasn't used for Deadpool, but for his then-wife "Shiklah," IIRC.) Come to think of it, I should probably consider doing a Work Stages post on that long-ago cover illo for me Patreon. Speaking of which:
