Technically, Emp could've asked the Manny Mecha to open another escape portal at their current location, but as you'll see, she has a reason to return to the existing Lotus Node anchor site—though it only now occurs to me that they're not all that far from where the scene started. Wellp, maybe the "megatons of hybridized cancerflesh" have rippled and undulated 'em a greater distance from that location; or, more to the point, I crammed slightly too much dialogue betwixt Emp and Mecha Manny into a brief flight that would've taken ten or fifteen seconds, tops. (Ehh, no biggeh.)

Also, could probably sound the Excessively Petite Feet Alert on panels 2 and 5. Gotta say, I'm curious to see if truncated tootsies were still a recurring motif in Empowered vol. 10, or if that riff was fading out by that point. I do know that Petite Feet were no longer a thing after I started life drawing on a daily basis in late 2017, but that was just before work had started on vol. 11 (I think).

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
