Panel 1: Oddly, that one semi-loose strand of hair by Emp's left eye is a once-common character-design element that's largely disappeared from her modern-era depictions nowadays, despite being a fixed aspect of how I drew her throughout the series. in fact, note that the strand vanishes during the flashback in panels 2 & 3, which miiiiight have been a near-subliminal attempt to differentiate the present and past timeframes. (Well, maybe.)

Panel 3: This, of course, is how the SuperHomeys wound up with such an impressive supraintel rating, despite Major Havoc knowing nothing about said status when he was complimented on it exactly 150 pages ago. Golly!
