Yeahp, panels 2 through 7 depict the various occasions of distressed damselhood during which Emp picked up the intel she used to manipulate the unnamed team of bad guys fifty pages ago. Huzzah!

TBH, these and the dozens of other incidents of captivity that have been briefly addressed in passing during single-panel flashbacks throughout the series probably amount to more such occurrences than could reasonably have happened during Emp's superheroic career, unless these humiliating debacles were occurring on a near-daily basis. While I would just randomly generate yet another heretofore unseen "DiD" incident each time I needed a flashback image, a more scrupulous approach would've been to set down a dozen-odd "canonical" scenes of captivity, and refer strictly to those moments during these flashbacks... unless, of course, there's a No-Prize-ish explanation for the overwhelming and seemingly neverending cavalcade of past incidents, which is certainly possible.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
