Pls note the "HeroFuel" drink he's holding, as this becomes a bit of a plot point (however minor) in the next scene of vol. 8's sprawling, anthology-format opening story.

Panel 4: The God in "goddamn" is bleeped out rather than black-box censored because, of course, we're seeing a reality TV show broadcast on the HeroNet service. (Well, "broadcast" is a bit of a stretch, as theoretically only superheroes have access to HeroNet.)
