Yeas, folks, time for another installment of the HeroNet reality series SuperDirty Jobs with Makro, as first seen in the opening pages of Empowered vol.6. Yay!

Panel 2: Makro is quite egregiously not facing in the right direction to be addressing the distant superheroes in the background, but I nonetheless rotated her this way for a clearer introductory shot of her. (Oh, well.) This is a form of the "profile cheat" I often use to show characters' faces when they're turning away from the camera to look at or speak to elements in the background; howeva, this time I can't even call this shot a "profile cheat" as such, given that we're seeing her face from an even more exaggerated 3/4 angle for extra clarity.

Nowadays, at the very least I would've shown Makro in profile, as this panel's 3/4 view really bugs me. That being said, currently I'm much less fond of using the ol' "profile cheat," perhaps because all my 2018-era life drawing has skewed me a weeeeee bit closer to a marginally more (ahem) "realistic" approach in my artwork.
