Wellp, after making some decent progress on Empowered vol. 12 in late July, I'd hoped to have a "throwback August" like the one back in 2013 when I cranked out this climactic story at breakneck speed. (Wrote & drew 44 pages in 29 days of that month, amazingly enough.) Instead, I f**ked up my index finger but good while drawing some techy backgrounds for too long with too hard a pencil lead, and haven't been able to draw anything for a week now while waiting for the level of pain in my fingertip to subside. Ouch, indeed!

Needless to say, Empowered vol. 12 is almost certainly my last major project in analog media, as my g-d drawing hand just can't seem to take the pressure of pushing a pencil for very long. I'd hoped to do at least some of the volume in digital media, but I haven't advanced enough in my Clip Studio Paiont practice to produce any finished work as yet.

Tomorrow on the ol' webcomic serialization, back to "real time" events, including a fateful reunion...

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
