Panel 3: Y’know, I’d entirely forgotten the teeny image of Syndablokk on the back of that bystander’s cellphone case. A nice—if wee—detail!
Panel 5: In Empverse continuity, this constitutes an early appearance of the visual riff of Emp’s mask going into “blush mode.” (This might actually be a bit of a continuity error, as I don’t think I started drawing the “blushing mask” dealie until midway or so through the series, and this scene is supposed to depict a pre-Empowered vol. 1 timeframe.)
Today’s Patreon update: We’re very likely continuing serialization of the Twitter-format prose experiment I Am Empowered, which tells heretofore untold tales of Emp’s earliest misadventures from her first-person POV.
UPDATE to the Patreon update: Nope, there's no I Am Empowered today, as I've belatedly noticed that such wholly text-based posts get very poor response from my Patrons. Instead, to feature some image-based content, I'll be posting a bunch of 2019 con sketches that I (rather inexplicably) never got around to putting up on Patreon last year.
