Panel 3: Gotta admit, “corpsecapes” is a pretty solid derogatory term for the Superdead.

Panel 6: The bolded “ENOUGHs” in Capitan Rivet’s dialogue might be an early example of the “graphite halo” riff I started using on sound-FX-like lettering around this time. I would either pencil or—more commonly—ink an emphasized word or sound FX, then add an HB-pencil “gray aura” around the letters, which gives ’em an interesting jolt of additional visual appeal in my eyes. (Your Mileage May Vary on this arcane lettering point, needless to say.)  

Next week, we finish off this vol. 7 story with a brief check-in on how Sistah Spooky is doing. SPOILER ALERT: She’s not doing very well at all! After that, we’re on to the next chapter, which kicks off with a striking chapter-break image of Emp cosplaying as another character. Huzzah!
