Panel 1: Gee, whatever might Ninjette be “plip-plipping” on that backup set of her costume? Rest assured that you will find out what’s doin’ before the end of this volume, webcomic readers.

Panel 4: Behold, a rare acknowledgement of comparative height among Empowered’s female characters, as F**king Oyuki-chan is supposed to be a fair bit taller than Ninjette or Emp. (I really should do a g-d height comparison chart for the cast someday.)

Panels 5-6: Whoops! Not a huge blunder, really, but for two panels stacked vertically over each other like these two, normally I would’ve structured ’em so their word balloons aren’t on the same side. Howeva, I likely found myself trapped by the placement of the characters in relation to each other, as I wouldn’t have wanted to place the off-panel Ninjette’s word balloons on the left side of panel 6. (And I likely wouldn’t have wanted to place Ninjette’s dialogue in panel 5 in on the left, either, as that would’ve been too close to the adjoining panel 4’s Ninjette text.) 

Finally, in panel 6, time to sound the new F**king Oyuki-chan Too-Pouty Upper Lip Alert! (As noted last week, her original character design was supposed to include a thinner upper lip.)

Today’s Patreon update: As it’s a Wednesday, time for the $5+ Patron tiers to get their weekly dose of commissioned damsel-in-distress content, along the lines of the same material was eventually reworked into Empowered. (No idea what as to exactly that might be at this time, though; these commentaries are written much further out from posting than are my often last-minute Patreon updates.)
