Panel 1: As others have noted in the comments recently, a scene from the earlier Empowered vol.4 story “Bouncebackalicious” hinted at Fleshmaster’s background and potential transformation.

Panel 4: Not a fan of the second word balloon shape, here, as it sneaks behind dWARf!’s head but still extends over the top of the seat, which is a rather strange choice on my part. Still, one does what one can as a letterer, when your writer (ahem) decides to cram too much dialogue into a panel.
