Panel 1: Once again, we see that this series wasn’t originally intended to be read as a daily webcomic, as you need to have (immediately) read the previous page to follow the references in this panel, including the groaning from the off-panel Single Action, who just got zapped by an alien “pseudo-organ.”

Panel 2: Bit of a screw-up on Decade-Ago Me’s part, as I can’t tell you how the heck the shrunken-down Dr. Big McLarge Huge’s headwear is failing to fall down over his eyes. Looks like it’s kinda floating in place, or that he’s one of old-school SNL’s Coneheads.

Panels 4-5: Long-time readers of my personal oeuvre will note that these parasites bear a certain resemblance to the alien “warrior clades” from my 1997 DC Comics one-shot Titans: Scissors, Paper, Stone. (Note that the oft-praised Titans story was recently reprinted in an Elseworlds: Justice League collection.)
