Panels 3-5: I liked the background detail—or, here, foreground detail—of Maura flirting with the unseen cameraman a bit. Note that the line “Am I cute cute, or hot cute?” is taken from real life, scavenged from an overheard conversation. Always keep those ears peeled for useful lines when you’re out in the world, writers! Jot ’em down in the ol’ Moleskine, or use your phone’s notetaking function—but whatever you do, don’t let good lines offered up by real life go to waste. 

Panel 4: And yet another baddie succumbs to the apparently unavoidable appeal of hefting Emp, as Maura did on the previous page.
