Panels 1-2: This upper tier of this particular page is one of my favorites from the first half of Empowered vol. 11, gotta say, as my previous few years of regular life drawing heavily influenced my artwork on this opening sequence. Ah, but while this self-perceived artistic improvement was a welcome development after years of what felt like stylistic stagnation—which is why I took up life drawing in the first place—this "leveling up" came at a serious cost, as I'll detail tomorrow.
