Some slightly unusual sound FX choices on this page:

Panel 1: Using WHUKK instead of my beloved, oft-repeated WHOKK was done solely for a change of pace, but I rather like the subtle difference that the U in WHUKK provides.

Panel 2: Goofily enough, I remember actually struggling with whether to letter the first sound FX as either CHDD or CHUDD. I believe that I elected to leave out the U because, otherwise, the FX might've been too reminiscent of C.H.U.D. (Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers) for GenX readers.

Panel 5: This variation is rarely used, but once again the addition of TH to my usual WHOKK does impart a li'l extra somethin' somethin.' (Or je ne sais quoi, if you prefer.)
