Panel 1: Oddly enough, this shot of Neurospear looks eerily like one of the many sweet, high-contrast images of the titular character from Boichi's manga Sun-Ken Rock. Dunno if that's just a coincidence, or if I was actually homaging a panel from the series; why, maybe I should go back to the manga and read it all the way through again to make sure!
Panel 2: Of all the bajillion wacky elements in this series to arbitrarily nitpick, "Kirby Helmet Chick" (true supranym as yet unrevealed) seems a especially bizarre choice to quibble over. To answer a comment from a few weeks back, no, this particular superhuman is not holding up that gigantic headpiece with a normal human's neck muscles. Believe it or not, unearthly superpowers are in fact involved! Lordy loo! (Not that I've devoted much thought to the topic, but as I see it, the uncanny "Kirby Helmet" is supporting itself, and "The Chick" is more or less dangling underneath it.)
Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out
more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12,
I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that
won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what
today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed
Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per
month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design
departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on
fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
