Panel 2: I, ah, probably should've emphasized Single Action's antique-revolver-patterned plasma pistol on this page a bit more clearly. Why, might you ask? Uh, no reason. *koff* (Note that I had to grab my reference copy of Empowered vol. 4 and look up Single Action's g-d supranym, which had completely escaped me as I looked at this page.)

Next week on the webcomic, Emp's karaoke-soundtracked ordeal continues at brutal length! Gotta say, I was slightly mystified by a comment a few weeks back that accused me of being afraid to show Emp looking less than beautiful when getting beaten up; not sure if the reader in question had perused the series at length anytime lately, but I've never had any compunction about showing pretty girls getting punched in the face repeatedly (see: Ninjette, mostly) or, say, having their lips burnt off (see: Sistah Spooky).

That being said, if you're looking for me to show Emp's face as a mass of bruises and swelling after getting walloped again and again, that's less an aesthetic choice than a narrative one, as I'm trying to indicate that her enigmatic supersuit is preventing our heroine from taking truly lasting damage. As we will see later, however, the hypermembrane's protective powers definitely have their limits (he typed ominously).

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
