Despite the mid-2017 work stoppage on Empowered vol. 11 that I'll sporadically continue to address in the weeks and months to come, by this point in the volume I was well back "into the groove" and swept up thoroughly enough into the storytelling flow that I had no problem jumping right into drawing this convoluted crowd scene. Just looking at the scene now makes me shudder, though, as at present I am most assuredly out of the groove in terms of even contemplating the drawing of complex imagery such as this... though I did so with great difficulty earlier this summer when I was grinding through pages for test project The Chaste and the Chained (see below).

Next week on the webcomic, Emp's grueling journey from frying pan into fire continues with another round of (mostly) nonstop action!

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
