Panels 1-3: If there seems to be a bit more "headspace" than usual above the word balloons at the top of each panel, that's because the original version of today's post was a "vertical bleed" page, meaning that it featured artwork extending all the way up and down to the top and bottom edges of the printed page. (Pretty much impossible to convey that concept in this webcomic format, for good or ill.)

As opposed to a "full bleed" comic page that extends artwork out to the left and right sides as well, the "vertical-only bleed" avoids the readability issues often plaguing full bleeds; when comic artists run into trouble with bleed images, said problems are almost always due to content getting sucked into the book's center binding or, more rarely, cut off by the page's outer edge.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
