Speculation re: my mid-2017 work stoppage on Empowered vol. 11 continues!

Yesterday's post took a good 15-20 minutes to write up, which is entirely unacceptable given the limited amount of worktime I have available each Sunday morning for these commentaries; so, I'll have to work in shorter takes on this topic going forward.

Monday's commentary addressed what I've informally dubbed FONTs, or Force of Nature Types, who are shockingly productive artists with seemingly unstoppable creative drives. This categorization certainly doesn't apply to me as an artist most of the time, though for brief stretches I have temporarily achieved FONT status while swept up in the compelling and immersive workflow of writing and drawing escalating, long-building storylines such as the second halves of Empowered vols. 8 and 9.

More on this topic later, folks, though not necessarily tomorrow!

UPDATE: I'm never, ever going to directly reply within the comments, but thought I should respond to a comment yesterday grumbling with palpable exasperation that I hadn't yet admitted that Hannah's phantom throughout this volume isn't Mindf**k per se. Wellp, folks, that fact was clarified in considerable detail by faux-MF herself almost forty pages ago. There ya go, exasperated grumbler!

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, work-in-progress updates on developmental projects such as fantasy comics The Chaste and the Chained and The Last Party, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
