Speculation re: my mid-2017 work stoppage on Empowered vol. 11 continues!
There are comics artists that I think of as "Force of Nature Types," or "FONTs" for short, who are just shockingly productive compared to most of us lesser mortals. They're able to not only crank out their comics work at a jawdropping pace, but they also churn out commissions, fan art, con sketches, warm-up sketches, break sketches and just a g-d boatload of other artwork in their seemingly nonexistent spare time; they're artistic "forces of nature," as I see it. We're talking about nigh-unstoppable creators like Mirka Andolfo, Ben Caldwell, Daniel Warren Johnson, Terry Dodson, Mahmud Asrar, Fred Perry and, well, most (though certainly not all) manga artists.
By contrast, I am most assuredly not a Force of Nature Type, given that I am entirely too g-d stoppable, as vol. 11 proved.
Continued tomorrow!
Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out
more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12,
I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that
won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what
today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed
Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per
month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design
departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on
fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
