Ah, yes, another opening scene told with my beloved and familiar flourish of "intro page of 4-5 slightly ambiguous close-up shots," to be followed by a full-page "splash" or double-page spread fully establishing the sequence's setting and characters. I thought that I'd picked up this storytelling riff from l'eouvre de Tetsuro Ueyama (Solevision Mitsuyoshi) twenty-odd years ago, but that appears to actually not be the case, as I'd already been using this approach in older projects ranging from Dirty Pair: A Plague of Angels  (1991) and Dirty Pair: Fatal But Not Serious (1995) to Titans: Scissors, Paper, Stone (1997) and Gen 13 Bootleg (also 97).
