With this week's commentaries, I'll attempt to revisit the workflow stoppage that occurred twenty-odd pages ago when I suddenly became myself unable to force Artist Me to draw any more pages of finished artwork for the book, which luckily hadn't yet "gone on the schedule" and thus made an indefinite pause in production possible.

The Empowered vol. 11 production shutdown remains quite mysterious to me in retrospect, as I still don't really know why that work stoppage occurred, nor why the issue was no longer in effect months later when I was able to restart work on the book and drew its next 190-odd pages without any further breaks in production. I suppose a generic diagnosis of "artistic burnout" was possible, but that feels rather generic and, well, "loosey-goosey." The experience was still quite alarming at the time, though, as at the time I had been cranking out Empowered pages for thirteen years or so without any (or at least many) long-term interruptions.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
