Sudden flashback time, folks! (This happens a bunch of times throughout vol. 11,  so you'd best get used to this narratively jarring experience.)

Yes indeedy, we're witnessing a long-ago scene of Young Hannah and her as-yet-unnamed brother. Once again, the sliding timeframe of Empowered is on the verge of engendering a technological anachronism, as this flashback is jumping back about 13-16 years or so, which still makes adolescent Hannah's use of a flip-phone somewhat plausible; before too many more years, though, that will no longer be the case. (Oh, well.)

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used.
