Critical to the timing and perceived speed of this action scene is the open-to-discussion issue of how fast that "WEE O0O" siren is cycling. Featuring a complete "WEE OOO" in both panels 1 and 2 works out fine, but doing the same in panels 3 and 4 arguably might've been a mistake; I prrrrobably would've been better served to feature only an attenuated WEEEEEE in panel 3 and a likewise extended "OOOOOO" in panel 4, as otherwise this will read like Redd Alert is airborne for a very long time.

Panel 5: Not sure why, but I do definitely like drawing rather jerky and "angular" motion streaks like the one seen trailing from General Staff's, uh, staff, as opposed to a technically more "accurate"(?) ellipse or smoothly curved arc. To me, such stylized riffs feature a bit more energy and interest, okay? (Okay.)

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
