Continuing this week's commentary thread, when I "seized up" and found myself completely uninterested in producing any more finished artwork for vol. 11 in late 2017 or so, that moment represented my first complete break in Empowered production since I had started drawing the first proto-Emp pages during the July 4th weekend of 2004 (whilst waiting for editorial approval on a Livewires cover for Marvel, BTW). Thirteen years and over 2000-odd pages had been quite a run of mostly uninterrupted productivity, but five years ago Writer Me ran into a brick wall as all the "strategery and trickeration" I had been using to bamboozle Artist Me into cranking out seemingly endless pagecount seemed to have stopped working. Lordy loo!

Next week on the webcomic, stand by for another one of my favorite action scenes from a wholly action-packed volume while this commentary thread likely rolls on! (Yay?)

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
