Panel 3: TBH, the action flow of this panel would've worked much better if the camera had been looking down at the street below and Emp had been springing up towards the camera at the bottom of the panel, but guess what, folks? I didn't feel like spending any more g-d worktime with such a shot (esp. given that the next two panels are downshots), and instead drew a quicker, easier up-angled shot.

Panels 4-5: Ehh, I'm not thrilled with the simplistic, flag-like approach I used for depicting the windblown manes of both Emp and Mindf**k on this page. Rest assured that I tried out much more ambitious approaches later on in Empowered vol. 11, though not quite as ambitious as the various techniques I later experimented with in vol. 12.
