Continuing a riff from last week's commentaries about how I could've "sped up" the reader's subjective experience of this rapid-fire action sequence, gotta admit that I probably could've removed panels 1 and 2 to achieve just that effect.
Panel 3: This image might look simple, but I do recall that drawing this shot was extremely time-consuming.
Panel 4: Ehh, I do feel a tad dubious in retrospect about Emp darting across the top of that garbage truck while carrying a car on her back, but I suppose it's possible that her enigmatic supersuit could be flexing more of its unearthly powers to disperse her weight in some fashion, or even potentially tampering with gravity a tad. (Lord knows the hypermembrane has pulled even more outrageous feats in the past.)
Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out
more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12,
I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that
won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what
today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed
Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per
month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design
departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on
fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
