Colors on the Emp figure by Arist Deyn, who also handled the fine colors on the book's front-cover illo. Damn, but Elissa's eyes are really, really blue, aren't they? Like, Morpho butterfly blue.

Anyhoo, hoped you enjoyed the grueling Empowered vol. 11 experience, folks. Dunno if I'll ever get the chance to do a (kinda-sorta) volume-long fight scene again, for good or ill.

Next week, we kick off webcomic serialization of Empowered Unchained, a volume collecting a whole bunch of Empowered stories written by me and (mostly) drawn by Special Guest Artists; you'll be eased into the experience, though, as the first chapter is a one-shot story both written and drawn by me.

And now, done with another week of commentaries, yay. Time to go grab a beer or two and catch the newest episode of Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night. Yay, for sure!

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test projects The Last Party and The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
