How could I have "sped up" the reader's perception of elapsed time during this rapid-fire action sequence? Hrmmm.

For one thing, using sound FX that overlapped the panel borders (for SKREEEK and KLANGG) might've helped; on the same tip, I could've gotten much more aggressive with the two VRRMMBs and had them impinging on or partially obscuring the word balloons (and borders) to indicate the SFXs' volume, a move which could've added some much-needed energy.

Having Emp's complete "Oh, for f**k's sake" in a single panel definitely slows things down. A better choice might've been to split each word into its own balloon and scattered 'em throughout panels 4-6.
