Speaking of Capitan Rivet's voice from a few weeks ago in these here commentaries and comments, the unusually "jagged 'n' ragged" outlines on his word balloons in panels 1-3 is supposed to indicate not only that he's yelling quite loudly but also that his voice is distorting, as if bellowing with feedback through a megaphone or microphone.

Next week on the webcomic serialization, the slugfest of Capitan Rivet vs. ol' Willy Pete rolls on (with an intriguing detail or two of Empverse continuity mentioned in passing) before a sudden timeframe shift kicks in. (I don't think that constitutes a SPOILER, but Your Mileage May Vary, dear readers.)

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
