Panels 3-4: In a truly bizarre and inexplicable blunder on my part, I screwed up and drew an erroneous row of rivets popping off the upper edge of El Capitan's headpiece; note that you certainly can't see those suckers in the previous panel. I have no idea why the heck this happened, though the error was no doubt aided by the fact that panel 2 was covered up by a taped-on sheet of copy paper at the time to prevent the pencilwork from smearing, so I was unable to glance back at that panel and perhaps notice that something was awry.
Fixing this bizarre faux pas would've required some extensive patch artwork, though, so I just left the offending panels as is to save myself some additional worktime. OTOH, I have to admit that El Capitan being able to spontaneously manifest new rivets in those locations would by no means be very much of a stretch, given the whimsical vagaries of a superheroic "capeverse."
