Note also that all the "sparkly FX" on this page were accomplished with the very low-tech approach of adding dots and crosses to the artwork via white-out applied by a brush. The only problem with this technique, howeva, is that all too often the white-out I'm using tends to partially peel off the page's surface when the artwork is scanned, leaving wee dots of white speckled across the scanner bed's glass; if one forgets to clean off those white dots, one can expect to see them again when another page is scanned. Whoops!
