Here's another mostly inked page, initially rendered with a combo of PITT Artist Pens (sizes S and XS) and Sharpie markers, then toned out with 5B-lead graphite. Many volumes ago, I started working in some inked content from time to time to save stress on my drawing hand, as rendering large areas of black with even the ultra-soft pencil leads I favored had proved waaaay too hard on the ol' mitt.

Ah, but this hand-sparing use of inks would wind up representing the fabled camel's nose slipping into the tent, as using pens wound up allowing my latent compulsion towards detail-intensive perfectionism to invade and infest the series' artwork; before long, the series' artwork grew ever tighter and more refined, but my production speed began to correspondingly drop off.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
