As commentary nitpickers possibly swarm, note that I could have worked in some rationalization as to why puppeted Havoc isn't immediately pounding through that lowered (blast!) doordue perhaps to the Major struggling against telepathic coercion or some other hand-waving structural issue inherent to this section of the Homeycrib—but I just didn't want to burn up any further pagecount trotting out said explanation. (Lord knows I had already spent plenty of panels on "brainbuddy" Mindf**k helpfully clarifying narrative issues essentially as a form of anti-nitpicking defense.)

As I believe I've said before, one potentially useful form of nitpicking when consuming any given fictional media is to consider, "How could the creator have answered this issue I've spotted without spending much more screentime (or pagecount or wordcount) in doing so?" In theory at least, this approach might help you out when working on your own creative endeavors. (Well, maybe.)

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, work-in-progress updates on developmental projects such as fantasy comics The Chaste and the Chained and The Last Party, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
