Panel 2: As you will see in some detail in the upcoming Empowered vol. 11's backgrounds, I was deeply annoyed to find that wavy-outlined, "blobby" images of nighttime window lights in skyscraper BGs arguably look better than crisply ruled-out backdrops.
Panel 3: Interesting that Emp's gradually shifting, fuller-figured figure proportions hadn't quite kicked in as yet, which is somewhat surprising given that they are a bit of a plot point in the very next chapter of this book.
Panel 4: The varying directions of Emp's falling tears are a tad problematic but, ehh, screw it.
Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
