Panel 4 and 5: Punted the final I Am Empowered excerpt back yet another day so I could bitch and complain about Thugboy's choice of 9mm pistol, the briefly popular-in-the-90s* Ruger model P89.

*Well, I'm not entirely sure if prominent appearances in the action movies True Lies and Desperado really count as "popular in the 90s," but of course Your Mileage May Vary on this topic. UPDATE: I doublechecked the Internet Movie Firearms Database for P89 media appearances, and was startled to discover that A) True Lies and Desperado actually featured the Ruger model P90 in .45 caliber; and B) the P89 continued to cameo in movies and TV well into the 2000s.

Whoops! Burned so much g-d time on that previous paragraph's research that I now don't have enough time to write up my complaints about the P89 in today's commentary. Oops!

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new.
