Panel 1: Wellp, we now know that the movie Taken exists in the Empverse, given that Thugboy is directly quoting Liam Neeson's famous speech from early on in said film. Alas, as established waaaaay back in Empowered vol. 1, Emp is no good at recognizing movie quotes, and thus has no idea re: Thugboy's shameless cribbing—hence his facial expression and sotto voce "Heh."

Gotta say, that's not a bad depiction of muscle groups on Thugboy's figure shot, considering that I wouldn't go on my year-long kick of near-daily life drawing for some time yet. Definite missed opportunity on defining the interlacing musculature of the lower serratus anterior and external oblique, though, as seen in this randomly image-searched link; enjoy the term "interdigitate" at said link, a word which I must admit that I've never read or heard before.
