Panel 2: Ehh, this statement might well be running afoul of the fairly elastic timeframe elapsing during this series, folks. Remember, a great deal of time passed during Empowered vol. 1, in the order of many weeks or even months, as opposed to the ever-shorter timeframes that have been elapsing with each successive volume. Note that the fast-approaching Empowered vol. 11 will take the proverbial cake in this department, as the book's epic, single-chapter narrative takes place essentially in "real time" (barring the occasional brief flashback, that is).

Panel 3: Ah, yes, my beloved "silhouetted long-shot," perpetually trotted out to add a bit of high-contrast visual interest to a page layout while—more importantly—saving me at least an hour or two of drawing-table worktime.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new.
