Panel 1: Ehh, not a fan of the quite frankly hacked-out "design" for this supervillainous blaster—and I wrote "design" in quotation marks because I'm fairly sure I just "winged it" and scribbled this gun directly into the final panel without working up its appearance beforehand.

In fact, I've long considered paying homage to similarly tossed-off futuristic firearm designs from the comics of my youth, such as the "bad guy guns" cranked out by my early idol John Buscema on occasion; none too enthused by the superhero stories he wound up drawing, ol' "Joltin' John" would draw pistols that looked like a child's boxlike impression of an M1911 .45 or beam rifles that eerily resembled futuristic cityscapes. Golly!

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new.
