For once in this series, I broke out proper, ruled-out perspective for the urban landscape throughout this entire g-d chapter. As you'll see later on, however, I discovered a heretofore unknown flaw in my pencil-based rendering of skyscrapers and the like.

Panel 2: Sadly, the best-looking building throughout these opening pages was wasted in the background of this one lousy shot. Serious fans of Otomo Katsuhiro's classic manga Akira might recognize that familiar skyscraper facade at left, as that's based on the building that serves as a backdrop for the initial unleashing of Akira's apocalyptic powers in the jawdropping, city-wrecking climax of vol. 3.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
