Panels 1 & 2: One of my more beloved if repetitive dialogue flourishes recurs here twice with what I think of as the "AND AND AND" riff in that, for reasons I can't quite articulate, I find an arrangement like "BRITTLE AND PARCHED AND DESSICATED" more stylishly impactful than the more conventional "BRiTTLE, PARCHED, AND DESSICATED"—and that's without even opening up the "Oxford comma" can o' worms.(Interestingly, on a Marvel script a while back, judging by a proofreading pass I was somewhat surprised to notice that they apparently don't use the ol' Oxford comma.)
OTOH, this riff might've been more effective here if I hadn't also used the "AND AND AND" bit with Ninjette's dialogue a few pages back. (I suppose she could've picked it up from the Demonwolf, though.)
Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. However, my vast archive of years of Patreon posts—extensive Empowered previews, vintage con sketches, work stages on covers, "damsel in distress" commissions, life drawings & much, much more—remains available for Patrons' perusal.
