As commenters have been noting for a while, pulling off a "leaf-dappled shade" look with my particular penciling technique is not easy at all. Using screen tone in B&W or shading in full color would've made this a whole lot clearer, but obvsly neither was an option with this story.

Tomorrow, time for another excerpt from long-defunct prose experiment I Am Empowered, this time wrapping up an incomplete chapter of workplace interaction between Emp and Spooky which features a bonus kinda-sorta appearance by a certain beloved character.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new.
