Okay, so maybe those lecterns should've been constructed of sturdier materials to hold up under SuperHomey vehemence; OTOH, they're still standing, so perhaps they were made ruggedly enough.

In all fairness to Major Havoc, his objection to Emp's evidence isn't entirely unreasonable if the Empverse is subject to the same sort of Shocking Plot Twists!!!!! that heroes in other superhero universes often faced, especially in the bygone era of over-the-top, exclamation-point-intensive comics covers teasing out-of-character betrayals and inexplicable "heel turn" behavior, later explained away by impersonation or possession or illusion or the narratively convenient like.

In fact, I briefly considered an expansion of this scene in which Havoc rattled off a half-dozen previous incidents of anomalous hero heel turns, and wondered each time why the hell no one remembered those earlier Shocking Plot Twists!!!! when faced with the latest outrageous scenario taken at face value.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
