An oddity in panel 1: This story marks the first appearance of Emp with her supersuit’s mask rolled back. I’m saddened to admit that, alas, my depiction of the peeled-back mask and its interaction with her hair makes no sense whatsoever. This was just another tossed-off riff from the comic’s casual and carefree early days; my apologies for any readers unable to suspend disbelief thanks to this particular glaring flaw. (Then again, perhaps this glitch could be “No-Prized” away as yet another unearthly and magical power displayed by our heroine’s enigmatic suit…)

Panels 2-4: Early Emp at her cutest, IMHO, as she uses her “amazing brain” (to quote Nene from Bubblegum Crisis) to befuddle the easily fuddled.
