Panel 2: Pretty sure my use of the ancient slang "pantywaist" was directly derived from Ben Grimm's dialogue in the Fantastic Four issues I read as a wee child; come to think of it, most of those issues were in fact 70s reprints of classic Kirby/Lee FF issues from the 60s!

Also, 2009 Me really shouldn't have added that second Demonwolf word balloon at the bottom of this panel; oh, well.

BTW, you had to know that the Blazing-Eyed Devilgoat was gonna break you off some "alpha vs. beta" chatter, though he's no Neurospear in that department. In a more contemporary context, I'm sure the Caged Demonwolf would be promoting the virtues of that much-vaunted "sigma male grindset."

Ninjette's reactions in panels 4 & 5 still amuse me, gotta say.
