We continue serialization of 2014's one-shot Empowered: Internal Medicine (as collected in the anthology volume Empowered Unchained), written by me and featuring color art and lettering by Guest Artist Brandon Graham.

As I noted yesterday, once again we can see Brandon's comfortability with (and preference for) depicting wide-open spaces and sprawling environmental shots in full effect, as opposed to my character-focused approach seen in the initial page rough:

Characters and emotive close-ups are always my focus as an artist, arguably to my own storytelling detriment at times; as I noted years 'n' years ago in commentaries of yore, all of Empowered vol. 1's 240-odd pages featured (almost) no proper establishing shots, which was a radical break from my own previous, more conventionally structured mainstream comics work.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test projects The Last Party and The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
