We continue serialization of 2014's one-shot Empowered: Internal Medicine (as collected in the anthology volume Empowered Unchained), written by me and featuring color art and lettering by Guest Artist Brandon Graham.

Enjoy some novel street-level shots of Emp's unnamed city, folks, as that's something I have zero interest in ever depicting; needless to say, Brandon was far more comfortable with handling such imagery.

BTW, just remembered that I used an unusual approach for writing this issue: namely, I gave Brandon some loose, heavily noted layouts and a lettering-only script without the extensive (and incredibly time-consuming) panel descriptions that I normally include. In fact, here's the layout for this page:

This was how Brandon preferred to work on this collaboration, which worked out nicely for me as panel descriptions are the g-d bane of my existence as a comics writer.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used.
