We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.

As I noted earlier, ace letterer Nate "Blambot" Piekos took advantage of this page's borderline-free, "all-white" gutters to place his word balloons' text much closer to the panel edge than would otherwise be the case, which kept the balloons from crowding the characters a wee but noticeable bit. I should further clarify that he could not have done so if the panels had been outlined with inked black borderlines or the "all-black" gutters usually seen in Empowered; if he had tried that, the text would've been placed unacceptably close to the black borders or gutters.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used.
